Offering non-judgemental and compassionate support.

I offer a warm and supportive space where you can explore whatever’s weighing on you, whether it’s anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or something that feels hard to name. My approach brings together Expressive Art Therapy and Somatic Experiencing to provide a creative and supportive path toward connection, understanding, and growth. Whether through talking, writing, visual art, movement, or other forms of expression, we will find what feels right for you as we make sense of emotions that can sometimes be hard to put into words.

I understand that articulating difficult experiences verbally isn’t always easy, which is why I incorporate body-based somatic practices alongside expressive arts to help you connect with your emotions on a deeper level. While a big part of our work together may be about what has been painful or overwhelming, my work is also rooted in a shift towards tuning into your strengths, values, and inner resources. You do not need any experience with art, just a bit of curiosity and a willingness to explore. Together, we will create room for meaningful reflection, expression, and new ways of moving through life.

Approach

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), my background in Expressive Art Therapy and Somatic Experiencing allows me to offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space for clients facing various challenges. With a master’s degree in Expressive Art Therapy from the European Graduate School and practical experience working with survivors of sexual abuse at North Shore Family Services and UBC’s Sexual Assault Support Center, I strongly believe in the transformative impact of this work.

In my practice, I combine creative expression with somatic techniques to help clients access their emotions and work through difficult experiences. Many clients find that tapping into the body’s natural ability to heal through Somatic Experiencing, paired with the self-expression of creativity, provides a powerful path toward growth and healing. Whether it’s visual arts, movement, or tuning into body sensations, we’ll find the approach that resonates best with you.

My passion also lies in working with the LGBTQSIA2+ community with people of all ages. This population often grapples with feelings of disconnection and shame related to their identity. Using expressive art therapy as a transformative method, I strive to rebuild confidence, foster self-acceptance, and reveal inner strengths. Drawing from my own journey as a queer-identified person who has confronted the complexities of the queer experience, I have witnessed the positive impact of expressive arts and somatic experiencing on mental well-being and the restoration of trust in the healing process.

By integrating my trauma-informed background with expressive arts, I establish a safe and empowering therapeutic environment. Contact me for a free 15-minute consultation!
